In 2025 AAL construction undertook complete refurbishment of our fisherman's cottage in Buckie involving a small extension, replacement of a flat roof, repairs to a pitched tiled roof, remodelling the kitchen and bathroom, replacing all windows and doors (interior and exterior) and other upgrades. Brian worked with us to ensure the scope of our project came within budget. The project was completed within the agreed timeframe and within budget. We are very satisfied with the work carried out and have subsequently engaged Brian to construct a block built storage shed which was also completed to a high standard. We have been very happy with the subcontractors used when required for jobs such as brickwork, rendering, upgrading central heating and rewiring.

AAL Construction Ltd project managed a single storey, kit-built extension to our property as well as completing all the associated joinery work. We have been thoroughly impressed with the service provided by Brian and his colleague Ed throughout the entire development.
At the quotation stage AAL Construction were the only company amongst the numerous ones we contacted that managed to provide a costing in line with the architect's estimate. During our initial discussions Brian the manager actively sought out ways to come in under budget by clever sourcing of materials as well as being willing to agree to some tasks to be done on a DIY basis.
Throughout the build both Brian and his colleague Ed remained thoroughly accommodating, being careful to consult us when there were options to the material/way in which something was constructed. There were several customer driven amendments/additions to the plan as the build progressed but the 2 men obligingly completed them.
Their care for our property and attention to detail was of the highest order. For example, when completing a task within the house that produced dust one of them would be holding a vacuum cleaner up to the work area whilst the other carried out the task; I have never known workmen to be so considerate. In addition, when improvements to the design were identified Brian discussed his concerns and ideas with us explaining why he recommended a particular course of action.
Brian's communication throughout was excellent; when he said he would be on site he was always there. He focused his time to the build and wasn't the sort of builder that would disappear without warning for weeks at a time. On the contrary, he was always present to oversee another tradesman or check and sign for a delivery even though he wasn't directly involved with that particular task. When asked a question whether by email, text or face to face, he quickly provided a straight answer and did what he promised he would do.
In summary I cannot recommend AAL Construction Ltd highly enough. Indeed having Brian and Ed on site and around the house was a genuine pleasure. They are 2 friendly, reliable and professional people who, in my experience, have a genuine desire to ensure the customer is 100% satisfied with the product they are supplying. If I ever have any need in the future for building work to be done, I know exactly who I will be calling.
